Nestled on the windswept lands of Österlen, Sweden, J. Friberg Winery crafts wines with deep respect for nature, soil, and seasonal rhythms. From vine to bottle, the process embraces minimal intervention: no chemical treatments or fertilizers, only naturally sourced composts, herbal teas and microbial teas to support soil and vine health. With eight grape varieties planted in 2009, the vineyard focuses on biodiversity and living soil, while the cellar relies solely on indigenous yeasts for fermentation. The wines that emerge from this care-filled process stand out with vibrant purity, exceptional clarity, and a true expression of their Nordic terroir.
The inspiration of the J.Friberg Wine comes from the beauty of Swedish nature but more specifically, two components of Swedish nature which are: the vast Swedish terrain and the textures in the natural microworld. Things like soil, microorganisms, fungi, rocks and minerals.
The Brandmark
The main brandmark combines both the mountainscape to reflect the Swedish terrain and the fingerprint which symbolizes a unique and individual identity.
Besides a brand suite, we also built a website for the client to showcase their wines along with information about their business. The design of the website inspires a feeling of tradition, nostalgia and modernity as to reflect the youth of the business while paying respects to traditional methods of winemaking.
