We worked with co-founders Christine Benvenuto and Heather Macbeth to develop a cohesive visual identity and redesign their existing website. The project brought together brand development, website strategy, and technical implementation to create a unified digital presence that reflects the center’s therapeutic philosophy and supports its range of services.
A Visual Identity Built Around Wisdom and Transformation
We developed a complete visual identity inspired by the iconic bay bridge and ancient Japanese-style art while highlighting the center’s emphasis on mindfulness, personal growth, and transformation. The identity includes primary and alternative logo variations, a brand mark, wordmark, custom iconography, colour palette, typography, background patterns, and textures.

The colour palette combines deep teal with warm peach, soft coral, and neutral tones, creating a balance between calmness and warmth. Custom icons represent key concepts associated with the center’s work, including wisdom, transformation, new beginnings, awakening, balance, emotional regulation, and mindfulness.
We also developed a custom brand illustration, curated photography, five editable Canva social media templates, and a brand guidelines booklet to help maintain consistency across the website, social media, and other brand materials.
Designing the Website Experience
Alongside the visual identity, we redesigned the center’s website to create a clearer structure for its extensive range of therapeutic services, educational resources, and programs.
Using WordPress, Elementor, and Elementor Pro, we developed a responsive website with a strategic content structure and navigation system. The sitemap and wireframes helped establish the relationship between the main service categories, individual therapy offerings, resources, and information for clinicians.
The website brings together dedicated pages for individual and couples therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, DBT skills classes, training and consultation, and other services. We also developed supporting sections for therapist profiles, the advisory board, frequently asked questions, resources, workshops, and blog content.
The goal was to make the center’s extensive information easier to navigate while helping visitors find the services and resources relevant to their needs.

Functionality and Technical Implementation
Beyond the visual design, we implemented the website’s core functionality and technical setup to support the center’s day-to-day operations.
Key features included:
- Contact forms: A straightforward way for prospective clients and other visitors to contact the center.
- Blog and resources: A structured publishing system for articles and educational content.
- Mailing list integration: Support for audience communication and updates.
- Responsive design: Layouts optimised for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- SEO foundations: Basic on-page search engine optimisation and SEO plugin configuration.
- Website migration: Transferring existing website content to the new domain and platform setup.
- Custom website components: Reusable layouts, navigation, headers, footers, and supporting page templates.
We also prepared the website’s foundational pages and supporting documentation, including an updated HIPAA notice design and privacy-related pages.

Completed within the planned timeline, the project brought together brand identity, website design, and technical implementation to establish a cohesive digital presence for Oakland DBT & Mindfulness Center.
The new identity gave the practice a consistent visual language, while the redesigned website organised its services, resources, and educational content into a more structured online experience. The accompanying brand guidelines and editable social media templates also provided the team with practical assets for maintaining visual consistency beyond the website.
We continue to provide technical support when needed, including website maintenance, design updates, technical updates, and troubleshooting.
